Welcome to JAC & Honey (“we”, “us”, “our”)—a full-service creative studio supporting women of color entrepreneurs through custom branding, photography, web design, stock content, and business systems services

By booking or engaging in services with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services & Deliverables

We provide services including, but not limited to: brand identity, photography, website design, graphic design, copywriting, HoneyBook/Flodesk system setup, email sequences, and ongoing website maintenance.


Estimated turnaround times are outlined in your custom proposal. For example:

  • À la carte services: 2 weeks–2 months

  • One‑Day Intensive: delivered in one day

  • Full packages: 2–3 months

2. Booking, Payment & Deposits

To confirm any project, a signed contract and non-refundable deposit are required unless negotiated otherwise:

  • Photoshoots: 50%

  • Design projects: 25% of total fee
    The remaining balance is due per the payment schedule outlined in your proposal.

3. Communication & Timeliness Expectations

Clear and timely communication keeps projects moving smoothly. To that end:

  • We’ll respond to your inquiry within 2 - 3 business days (during our business hours, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM ET).

  • During active projects, we commit to responding to client messages within 24 business hours, excluding weekends and holidays.

  • We ask that you—our client—also respond within 24 business hours to approvals, feedback, and emails to avoid delays.

  • If feedback is delayed and we can’t proceed, the timeline will be extended accordingly.
    If additional revisions or delays occur because of delayed client feedback, a cancellation may apply.

4. Client Responsibilities

To ensure smooth collaboration:

  • Provide necessary project content (e.g., photos, text, feedback) on time.

  • Participate in strategy calls, review sessions, and approvals promptly.

  • Keep your assigned point of contact updated on changes.

5. Revisions & Scope Changes

Your proposal outlines a set number of revisions. Any requests beyond that, or changes in project scope, may result in additional fees. We’ll notify you—and confirm in writing—before moving forward.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If you choose to cancel after work has begun, you may be responsible for incurred costs up to the cancellation date.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or pause a project at our discretion. In that case, you’ll receive an adjusted refund that reflects services completed.

7. Intellectual Property & Licensing

Once your project is complete and full payment is received:

  • We grant you all rights to your finalized brand assets, photography, and website designs, unless otherwise specified.

  • We retain the right to showcase your project in our portfolio, website, and promotional materials, with your consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

We aim to deliver high-quality work, but being service providers, we aren’t liable for incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to us.

9. Privacy & Data Use

Protecting your data is non-negotiable:

  • We collect only the information needed (e.g., name, email, business details).

  • We use tools like HoneyBook and Flodesk to manage projects. Your data is secured and used only for client engagement and delivery.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia (or Maryland, if applicable).

11. Updates to Terms

We may occasionally update these Terms. We’ll notify you of any changes, and they will apply to all new projects going forward.
